CLASSICAL LIVING / winter wonderland

Woodinville 98072

At the BEGINNING of the design stage the clients stressed how much they crave privacy, they loved their enormous windows, but wanted to be able to close them up, yet, they did not want to lose any light when the windows are open. There was a snowstorm when we were photographing this project; the effect of all the light coming in reflected from the snow was MAGICAL. Since then, this project nickname is “winter wonderland.”

When more is more, these clients wanted the room to read happy and hospitable, yet remain a FAMILY gathering space. MULTIPLE SEATING options from the round, nest-like reading chair by the fireplace, to the emerald green window bench, to the more traditional chairs and sofa, are ready for different sizes of crowds.

A foyer shall PROMISE what to come. In this home, it does a beautiful job at that.
